Bagà

The town of Bagà is located in the Pre-Pyrenees, at the northern end of the Alt Berguedà, on the border of the province of Barcelona, at an altitude of 786 meters. It is situated 20km from Berga and 6km from the south entrance of the Cadí Tunnel.

The town is nestled in the spacious valley of the Bastareny River, at the foot of Cadí, Penyes Altes (2,260m), Niu d’Àliga (2,537m), and Puigllançada (2,406m), covering an area of 43km2.

Alt Berguedà

Alt Berguedà is a region of great natural and cultural richness.

The Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park, Pedraforca, and other protected natural areas offer opportunities for hiking, trail running, mountain biking, cycling, climbing, or simply immersing yourself in the landscapes, colors, and scents of nature.

You will also find heritage sites and museums that allow you to explore the history of Alt Berguedà from its origins to the present day, such as the medieval old town of Bagà or the Cercs Mines Museum. Traditional festivals with ancient traditions like the Patum or Fia-Faia are also celebrated

03

Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park and Pedraforca

The Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park is one of the largest in Catalonia, spanning three regions: Berguedà, Alt Urgell, and Cerdanya.

The imposing mountain ranges of Cadí and Moixeró, connected by the Coll de Tancalaporta, form a stunning mountain barrier in the Pre-Pyrenees. Its slopes, particularly the north face, feature steep cliffs with vertical walls and deep valleys. The Pedraforca, Tosa, and Puigllançada are prominent peaks within the park.

04

Camí dels Bons Homes

The Camí dels Bons Homes (the path of the Good Men) is a long-distance trail (GR 107) that can be traversed on foot, horseback, or mountain bike, following the footsteps of the Cathars as we cross the Pyrenees.

You can also explore the villages where the “good men” and “good women” lived by visiting the regions through which the Camí passes, including Berguedà.

In Bagà, you can find the Medieval Interpretation Center of Catharism.

If you plan to hike the Camí dels Bons Homes, we are members of the Regulating Council and offer facilities for those who undertake the journey in any of its modalities.

05

Cavalls del Vent / Ultra Pirineu

Cavalls del Vent is a trail that connects 8 mountain huts in the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park. The total positive elevation gain is approximately 5,200 meters, covering a distance of about 90 km.

Since 2016, it is also possible to complete it by mountain bike, covering a route of 230 km with 7,000 meters of positive elevation gain. Ca l’Amagat is an ideal starting and finishing point for Cavalls del Vent, whether you prefer trekking, trail running, or mountain biking.

Cycling Tourism

The Alt Berguedà is an exceptional area for cycling, whether it’s road cycling, gravel biking, or mountain biking. You can choose from easy, less-traveled routes that offer tranquility, such as Coll de Merolla or Via Nicolau, or take more challenging ascents of mythical mountain passes like Coll de Pal, Coll de la Creueta, or Coll de Pradell.

There are countless routes, most of them signposted and marked, and the towns you’ll pass through have self-repair stations. Additionally, at Hotel Ca l’Amagat, we provide a closed and secure space to store your bikes at no additional cost, including charging points for electric bikes.
